Project Overview:

Under the Production Design guidance of Sxv'leithan Essex for the Feature Film Big Ass Spider, Blake played a key role in crafting a visually captivating and unified narrative through the selection and arrangement of items and decor.

Within the collaborative landscape of film production, the synergy of diverse roles played a pivotal part in shaping a seamless and visually engaging story. Each role—Set Dresser, Fabricator, Painter—contributed distinct elements to the project, fostering a harmonious fusion of authenticity, aesthetics, and visual identity.

SET DECORATOR:

Blake was responsible for the thoughtful selection, stylization, and curation of props, ensuring they align seamlessly with the storyline, period, and character dynamics.

Beyond selection, Blake maintained the condition of props and orchestrated their integration into the narrative, ensuring they become integral elements of the storytelling process.

SET CONSTRUCTION:

Aesthetic Enhancement: Blake was able to enhance the film through the visual appeal of each scene by adding aesthetic elements. Collaborating closely with the director to create immersive environments that enhance the film's atmosphere. Arranging furniture, selecting decor, or manipulating lighting, Blake’s meticulous attention to detail contributes to the overall visual richness of the film.
