PROJECT OVERVIEW: FIGBIZ Action Figure Line and Statues

CLIENT: Iron Maiden

CHALLENGE: Off Beat Enterprises designed a collection with Incendium and Iron Maiden of articulated action figures. It was an exciting collaboration that pays homage to Iron Maiden’s iconic character Eddie across several albums. This project was specifically for action figures providing fans with another awesome way to collect their favorite Eddie.

SOLUTION: Incendium's solution involved a set of their FigBiz action figure approach:

Action Figures:

  • In addition to the other items we did produce, the project included the creation of four articulated action figures. These meticulously designed figures represent characters and elements from the Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast line and Represented the Trooper from ‘The Trooper’ single, the Cyborg from ‘Somewhere in Time’, Doomsday Eddie from ‘2 Minutes to Midnight’, and Killers Eddie from ‘Killers’. Each figure came with a few accessories in line with their album/single visages. This line sadly never came to fruition. Incendium had terminated their relationship with Iron Maiden during the Pandemic due to several causes and these were ultimately cancelled and refunded to those who pre-ordered.

Statues:

  • In addition to the other items we did produce, the project included the creation of several statues. These meticulously designed statues represented characters and elements from the Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast line to include a statues of the Live After Death statue, but we also had planned to work out the details on a more radical representation of the Powerslave statue, an Aces High Plane, and a Piece of Mind Diorama.

RESULTS: While the FIGBIZ Action Figure Line collaboration with Iron Maiden was a labor of love, unfortunately, external factors led to its cancellation. The figures were ready to go to mold, but ultimately ended there. We even had wave two in design. Despite the setback, the meticulously designed figures, inspired by iconic album artwork and characters, garnered enthusiastic support from fans. Though the project may not have materialized, it remains a testament to the passion and creativity that fueled this unique endeavor. Off Beat Enterprises continues to explore new avenues for exciting collaborations and endeavors in the ever-evolving world of collectibles. Stay tuned for more offbeat adventures!
