CLIENT: Off Beat Enterprises & Bottleneck Gallery - DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY Art Direction

CHALLENGE:

Off Beat Enterprises collaborated with Bottleneck Gallery to provide art direction for the popular film series by Christopher Nolan for a series of Art Prints. The challenge was to create and curate a collection of artwork that paid homage to the dark, and gritty world of they brought to the screen using iconic scenes. The goal was to capture the essence in a way that would resonate with both fans and the creators.

SOLUTION:

The collaboration between Off Beat Enterprises and Bottleneck Gallery involved a strategic and creative approach:

Art Curation:

The team at Off Beat Enterprises worked autonomously for Bottleneck Gallery to curate a collection of artwork from a range of talented artists. The goal was to select pieces that celebrated the story telling of the film.

Art Direction:

Off Beat Enterprises provided art direction to Dan Mumford ensuring that the selected pieces aligned with the vision of the show. Providing imagery and layouts to the artist involving guidance on style, composition, and the overall look and feel of the artwork while still staying true to their art.

RESULTS:

The collaboration between Off Beat Enterprises and Bottleneck Gallery for Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises art direction resulted in the following outcomes:

Art Curation:

A carefully curated collection of artwork was assembled, featuring interpretations of the movies and sold out quickly. The collaboration went well, so subsequent art prints were commissioned for other properties.
