Acme Archives X FORCE FRIDAY
Hey there everyone! It's been a busy, and crazy last few weeks. Ramping down from Comic Con, and D-23, we have a few more scheduled shows left this year. Come see us at Salt Lake City Comic Con (September 24-26th), and Stan Lee's Comikazee (October 30-November 1st)!
No on to business. What is #ForceFriday some of you may be asking? It's the first day they allowed licensee's to release product for the new feature. We have all been working diligently and secretly to come up with fun and new products to showcase today and for the rest of the year. What does this mean to the Fans? A TON OF AWESOME PRODUCT FINALLY ABLE TO BE VIEWED STARTING TODAY. Hasbro released their Black Series figures from the new feature, to fans snatching them all up at toy stores last night at midnight. Brands like Funko, and even Sphero a bluetooth enabled BB8 Droid that can be controlled with an app on your phone. All the manufacturers have stepped up their game for one of the largest theatrical releases we've ever seen, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS coming to theaters December 18th. So what has Acme been up to?
To begin with, Jerry Vanderstelt's new X-Wing image "Incom: T-70 Tearin' it Up". Showcasing his amazing level of detail. This painted original is available in both canvas editions, and paper with a Lithograph to follow shortly.
This new Travel Poster by artist Steve Thomas showcases the brand new speeder with Rey riding out and a downed Star Destroyer in the background.
We also have some new Classic trilogy images as well, but will have more The Force Awakens as the weeks lead up to the new feature.
This brand new one from concept artist Stephan Martiniere showcases his incredible attention to detail. Stephan has worked on many projects over the years with us, and is known for some of his work on Tomorrowland, Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Total Recall, Tron Legacy, and many more.
Lee Kohse has been painting Star Wars for a long time, but just recently brought onto our program. This is his first release with us, but definitely check out his previous work as well on his website.
For Matt Difa, world famous Tattoo artist, and fully licensed Star Wars tattoo artist, also works in many mediums. This image "Marching Orders" is his first image with Acme, and a step into the realm of licensed fine art. Look out for more from him in the near future.
There's a handful more images up today on the website so go have a look, enjoy, and collect! These guys poured their heart and souls into these images, and they really show. I really hope you guys all start to follow up these artists as they do a tremendous job on these images. Keep watching for more news, and more The Force Awakens imagery coming soon! Thanks again for checking in.
